winter, which would I expanded from 18 x 31 to 26 x 44 – and the “ cliff dweller” Steubenville motive, which went from 30 x 21 to 35 x 30. At the same time I took the “Thru the Trees” which has been hanging over the piano, and enlarged it to 24 x 35 with the intention of offering it to Ray Price in his Funeral Parlor.
However, the strange unusual weather, combined with my mental let-down from my recent show, seems to have determined at last to get at the house and clean it up, redecorate etc. – we plan to rip out the stair landing on the front room, put a window in Art’s room, and “Kem-Tone” practically the whole house.
Today, went around to see if Rindus, would do some of the work, and learned with surprise, the he has sold his home & gone to Arizona to live.
I stopped by the thank Mrs. Herbein for the Christmas kuchens – Ed & Phil Wegerd were in the backyard, splitting and sawing Elmwood chunks- they were having great fun at it, like two boys – (both are past 70). It was pleasant to see.
After Supper I went over to ask geo. Miller who had done his repair work. He was in the garage, making boxes for greenhouses. He has reduced the work to the least possible effort, by several little simple arrangements, and it gave me a good feeling somehow. He promised to get the carpenter over for me (from Ebenezer). Afterwards we went into his Kitchen to see his job of a Kem-toning --
