to do this – in fact I have said you did not want to part with more than a certain number of the early things & when that number was reached the rest might be withdrawn from sale. Back me up in this – for I know it is partly true – and it is good talk. ; Several things are hanging in the air – dependent I surmise on Xmas checks. I’m not going to count any chickens by even referring to them – but here are a few concrete happenings: ; ; Your beloved “Wind over the Hill” and “Dandelion Seed Pods” etc have been grabbed by the Metropolitan Museum (this is strictly secret as yet – don’t mention it to anyone) I made them a price of $120000 for the two.; ; The “Mysterious Bird” goes to our grand old friend Sexton. I framed it for them in this new framing & it looks like a million –; ; There will be more news from the show, but I’m not going to write until it is certain. ; ; Now, old top, prepare for something nice. The San Diego Museum has bought “Rainy Night” for $1500 (I had asked 2000 & cut
