Afterwards to a coffee shop for sandwiches etc – ; Then a little shopping – (Martha shoes, & we a ring chain).; Evening talk of the Byrd show-cruiser. Bertha conceives the idea of calling the West Seneca before – This I did, and to our delight they reported it “land up” In the night at S.K. Blvd & McKinley Parkway –; We drove down, and all got a thrill out of its strangeness, and especially its enormous 10 feet tires, and diesel engines in the huls.; Arthur was so bursting with anticipation, that he leaped from the car before it was quite stopped, saying “Hurry up, I just can’t wait any longer.
