many confused sounds, had a peaceful look.Aug 29 – (Tuesday) –; Up late and tired. A few pencil studies, then to the spring up towards Smithfort to fill my jug, then on towards St. Mary’s. Arthur & I working on a book rack for M.A. Our key-hole saws were dull, so, we drove to a place in South Buffalo, which we had found in the telephone directory (So a prosaic errand with open up a new experience, a new field.) Our saw sharpener proved to be an old man, crippled, who had a little shop in his back yard. He promised our saws in a half hour, so we went for a walk.
