Cemetery – Hunters and Dogs
First farm – silo pink – red under eaves of barn – the greatest color comes under eave shadow – sinister – sinister red under eaves – like sullenness of Sibelius music.
Two pines and house – snow on northern side of hills.
The two white silos – sunlight streams out of the far south atnoon– a pale ghostly thing – weak and puny – the northern land – the land is ghostly – spectre dead grass pale yellows – the two silos had sinister look – the road is dry and pale ochre –
The side road – old house – all thru it – the barn – wavy weeds in front of white grass –
To railroad – boys at country school – to south wide barren stretches – walk along railroad late after noon – ice bound swamps – a strange effect with autumn looking grasses and wintery ice – shot gun shells – late afternoon – the swamp grasses reeds and red top bushes gradually flare up in a wide spread rush of mellow orange and red barns – like the last fires of the years flaring up before they are quenched by winter –

Dawn – cozy southeast – flaming orange clouds – above only purple last – white flag –pole is green white at base shading up to darker green against sky (darker than orange) – other object haven’t the green cast – grass is yellow, bushes red barn,, etc.-
