be no evil thoughts to destroy the sacredness of the place. There are windows that face in all directions – East, South, West, Northwest, North & Northeast. Each window has a different story to tell in the way of its groups of trees & houses & outlooks to the sky. Out of the west window tonight I saw a peculiar maple tree full of brilliant yellow green bloom, lit up by the sunlight.May 12; A briskly cool brilliant day - at noon walk up Maryland – The massive buckeye trees have the appearance of looking at the sun – their brilliant emerald green is new every day.; Poplar trees are unfolding – they are full of millions of dazzling stars. Shade is big & black – shadows of leaf masses zigzag across the houses – The cool wind seems to carry the vivid green color with it as it comes out of the sky – a white awning new – is hard to look at.
