; Mar 12, 1922; I would like to be the embodiment of March – both in life & art –; ; Mar 13, 1922; Noon – downtown – a white smeary sky that glows with intensity all over – trees & buildings have a vibrating edge – a heavy opaque haze is everywhere – a dusty film is on all things – the hurrying crowds attain a certain poetry – they all seem interested or excited about something than their daily affairs – the restaurant door is open & as we sit inside the excitement of what is outside increases – a flower store window with its marvelous tulips & pussy willows – There is almost an anguish about the whole day on account of vague memories or longings that will not become definite gowing growing stale is not somuch (sic) in forgetting ideas but in losing the youthful vigor to consider them worth dying for –
