The next town was Bethel, where there was a quaint little church set among great oak trees – Here we felt was the epitome of the lyric beauty of Ohio – Here we secured sandwiches and coffee.; Some distance north of Bethel, we arrived at the home of a cousin of Travis’ Where Paul telephoned his mother to expect us for supper.; At this point we left the road and headed for Travis’ across country, mostly uphill and through the most dense tangles of underbrush (grape-vines, sumac and black-berry bushes –; Finally we could see the Travis Hill in the distance, but before climbing it, we turned aside for a swim in a creek (West Fork of the Little Beaver); A good chicken dinner awaiting us – Afterwards we lolled on the porch listening to “phonograph music”, afterwards a climb to the hill-top to view the sunset, then to bed.; Next day spent in lolling on the hill indulging in idle conversation – then by trolley to Salem –
