This morning a cold yellow lights up the eastern sides of trees, sheds, fences, & holes – a cat prances up a tree; a dog rummages around an old pile, while a rat furtively scurries from one hole to another; robin songs come from all sides; people are no longer people; the excitement of the season causes them all to be only hearts of the general undertone of awakening -
