[inscription reads] " it found lodging on the storm sides of grass-tufts and trees; so that it seemed as if a powerful white light came out of the south west. A storm seemed ever approaching, for the western sky darkened regularly, only to break up, and perhaps reveal the sun, with sun-lit fissures snow-dotted. / There was wonderful music in the tree branches and often I stood long under a tree. / February 9, 1915 / A beautiful day.
