The sunlight sending long noon-shadows across the yellow-lit earth; and lighting up the glossy tree-limbs, has yet a feeling of return in it. Tho (sic) not so near, it does not seem so remote as in September. / Not Looking out of the window directly, the bright sunlight brings to my mind a summer-dusty road with the white faces of farmhouses glaring at the noon sun, and a dark blue sky beyond. / Last night to Organ Recital at Trinity Cathedral.
