[inscription reads] Have I a soul? In so far as I am in tune with the harmonious music color and rythm (sic) of nature losing which my soul (so called) is lost, tho (sic) I live on externally. / October 31, 1914 / The twenty-ninth was a rainy windy day, my impression of which was the poetic sight of tumbleweeds lumbering along over the wind-streaked rainy grass. At Bob’s for supper; to school for evening to work on decorations for Freshman reception.
