[inscription reads] Newspaper clipping pasted into journal reads: “Mr. Busch Buys Farasyn’s Great Painting – / August A. Busch has bought the noted painting, “The Embarkation of Emigrants at Antwerp,” recently sold at auction in the partition of the De Moss estate. He declines to make public the price paid. / The picture contains 645 figures, and was painted by Edgard Farasyn, a Belgian artist. It took him nine years to complete it.” / Burchfield’s inscription reads: " A clipping from “the Art Review.” / Is that what makes the painting great? – it has 645 figures & it took nine years to complete? / Sept 13, 1914 / 5:30 A.M.
