the pink glow, softly spread & grew, seeming to come from within each cloud, until the whole western sky was red - until clouds becoming a rich violet. It was as quiet an unostentatious as the coming of a snow-storm in winter. The color lasted fully an hour, as I timed it. Even after it was comparatively dark, the red color could still be seen. It was 8:15 when it was too dark to see the color.(HT)After supper with B, F & K to Cook’s peach orchard. (HT)Had rare treat of seeing a moonflower open at Kings.
