at horizon old rose & violet nests. Just above this scene in the air was a big flock of blackbirds, flying tree-top high, their black bodies twinkling in a mighty unison against the sky. The wind blowing thru that sunset caught their “chts” veiled them in sunset mist and brought them to my ears. All the beauty of the sky & the coolness of the strong wind the sound of trees were in that flock of birds.(HT)Large bank of clouds in northwest from which came pink flashes of lightning. They were heat lightning. There are mirages (?) perhaps
