the open & folding of a butterflies wings.(HT)Chippy-sparrow flies upon wire & looking directly at the livid sky utters a lisping attempt at a song - which amazed me, as its chipping call is the only one I ever heard it give. It sounded like a songsparrow singing with its mouth full. It only uttered it once & remained perched thus looking at the sun, for several minutes. As the season advances the katydids song seems more prolonged. Evening calm. Quietness impresses us. Whispy sky.
