whistling away thru the bushes - a peculiar flight - long bill pointed straight down from its unnaturally large head.(HT)To Beech hill. Two locusts sawing iron in the tree tops, dust from which may account for that steely glint on the leaves. On some plants it turns to rust. Air very hot & a peculiar sickening odor, perhaps of cooking herbs comes up from the ground. Cat-tail march spread out to north resplendent in old rose haze of many butterfly weeds.
