seed is the fact that they are caught in a loop of the curling pod which, squeezing tight hurls them as we may shoot a cherry seed between our fingers. White thoroughwort leaves are beautifully woven over with mines of serpentines.(HT)(HT)The little swamp here, supports a great variety of plant life. In the spring I can find no larger marsh marigold than here. In great quantities are marsh & white violet & later horse-tail & calumus.(HT)(HT)It shows its greatest variety now.
