Meadow here overgrown with reddening loosestrife and asters with their black-purple stems. Same whole plants have leaves of red violet or rich red & again mottled. While I was listening to cardinals red notes, and staring off thru the sky, a dazzling, white flutter, a sparkle against the sky, a bird taking flight startled me with all haste I went to where I could have unobstructed view of it, but it was gone. What was it? Perhaps a pigeon merely or again, same unknown wild bird.From here I pursue my way homeward. In the pas-
