katydids over there.(HT)Beard grass meadow beyond which is Cigar Mountain - a mass of curling overlapping trees with bright ochreish meadows in places. In the more open wooded places we can see the dark blueish purple shadows encircling their trunks. At times big splotches of inky shadows move slowly across the hill forming startling contrasts.
