I have often felt I would like to stop a man on his way to his religious penance and ask him - Why? But I fear I would startle him too much.(HT)There are many dart moths around my light tonight. In the morning they will be dead. One flew in a dark pigeon hole, whence glowed his beautiful coppery green eyes. Had he already partaken of some of the light that was eventually to kill him? It is odd - this phosphorescent glow in the eyes of all our night creatures.
