Ball of lightning goes thru three rooms of house, out to a sugar shed thru paper covering window, over to fireplace, also covered with paper, up chimney & just at top explodes tearing chimney to pieces.(HT)Last night’s meagre sprinkle abated the drought none. Today the heat is intensified and the broiling of the earth is continued.
