Trees glow dimly in water.I noticed that there were constant remote thumpings on the earth. Gods at work? Hear whip-poor-will several times. Hollow splash of fish. A vague scummy mist coming up from water. The moonlight coming out again? The return - almost midnight.(HT)(HT)Peculiar feeling when walking along in the damp night air, as we mount a rise in the road, & we are enveloped in a warm air, as tho a part of day had been left behind.
