The grasses now are dried, with the exception of swamp grass, whose damp location prolongs their virgin life. / Hedge bindweed seeds are ripening. / The Horsefly. His coppery, are beautiful. The white hairs that cover his mouth & regions of neck give him appearance of an old man. Catch blue damsel-fly. Has two eggs and thorax one of which comes off in in hand. Yellow in color, like poppy seed. "
