the first thundershower I ever observed.(HT)(HT)This was perhaps the most complete storms I have observ¬ed for some time. Rapid in momentum, it yet seemed leisurely until just at the last moment, when the wind burst. The huge bank of mist and lightning was crowned with a white scallop of clouds, which we were accustomed in boyhood days to call “wind-clouds”, which in their wildness were a thing of beauty. It is in this vanguard of wind and clouds, that we find the true poetry of a storm
