with the clouds, but it only served to set the steamy air in motion seeming to accentuate its deadness rather, than give it life. Shortly afternoon we were startled by a sharp flash of lightning followed by a short thunder-clap. In a little white a torrent of rain whitened the air and edged roofs with foamy spray. There was no rush of wind and the rain passed on.(HT)(HT)The day proceeded - a dreamy sky - no relief from the rain which means more is to come.(HT)No doubt the rain today
