Today’s cold snappy weather ushered them all in. Morning dawned cold and clear. Oh for the joy of jumping into water colder than the air! Oh for the joy of a brisk rub-down. What a keen pleasure to watch the pink glow come over one’s flesh!
Sky was deep blue. Wind was cold. Sunlight was dazzling. One unconsciously threw forward his chest and stalked proudly on such a morning, ready for anything, be what it might. All things looked good.
Noon was one of cold where shade chanced to be and heat where the slanting rays of the sun fell. While I was upstairs in my room, my ear caught the rather mournful cry of a bird. A glance out of my west window I saw
