ning change, after which we seized umbrellas and ran with the wind over to his house. There we found Waldo, and “five-hundred” was soon in exciting progress.
At Stitts the other evening cards “were in order”, and as I was mightily bored, I thought that they had lost their charm over me - my first games for perhaps a year. But today the old fascination returned and I was soon deeply engrossed. Pedro + Poker followed this and I may say without perfunctory motive that we had a good time.
Following cards, Mrs. Kirst came in and we talked of the coming year in Cleveland. This led Waldo + I to delve into last years happenings at the Villa.
After supper, we all of us (which of course includes Ephie) went to Aunt Em’s where we increased our numbers by getting Frances after which we went to the train to meet Fred, who has been on a three-day trip to Rochester.
