been loitering and snooping around all morning, assembled in the southwest sky and, forming a storm, made as if to dash upon us, and then after a few spiteful grumbles, turned and veered off to the south somewhere, while the sun smiled serenely and renewed his attack.
Sunset was one of an exquisite rose-light - and that rose color was an odd and beautiful thing. Oddly enough it first appeared in the northeast, when by all rights it should have been in the west, which was however a scene of pale bluish + lavender tints. It flared up steadly until it had completely saturated a huge fan-shaped cloud and then it ran over the edges and dripped to another cloud. Seeing the delights of travel it skipped back and forth over the sky until the rose light was everywhere. The darkened earth even received a little of it.
