felt a little better, and went down. There was quite a crowd again to-night and seemed to like the show as well. Jay Kling led the Orchestra and they had better time than last night. Everything came off alright as before.
Thursday April 6, 1911
This morning when I went to work, the air was cool, the sun very bright, and the sky a deep blue; but even when on the way to work, clouds began to gather and the air grew a little chilly. But while we were at work the sky became blue again, and the sun shone brightly. Once I went outdoors, and it was very warm, and altho the wind was hot, still I rejoiced to stand and let it blow against my forehead, which was aching. In fact this is the worst I have felt yet; I was so sleepy and my head felt numb and dead. I took every opportunity to go out in the air and enjoy a real Springy April day.
At noon, the sun was so hot, that we went homeward very slowly, I scarcely able to think at all. While clouds came and went across the blue sky, and the sun still glared down. When I came home, I thought of my wild flower garden I immediately went out. The first I came to were some hypaticas, which were pushing up many little white downy heads up from the black dirt
