“Out thru Bentley’s and Forker’s, where’d you go?”
“Out back of Brooks’ across the fields to the beginning of Bentley’s and then in home. Say I’ll be over in about ten minutes. I have to go for practise.”
“All right. I’ll be ready.”

This morning when I awoke, I dressed hurriedly and ran downstairs, It was half-past six! and too late to go for a walk as we were due at Mullins’ within an hour. When Bill came over he said:
“I didn’t know why you didn’t come over this morning?”
“Why”, I replied, I didn’t wake up until six standard. Mama never thought to wake me. Did you go?”
“No. We’ll have to go to-morrow.”
“I’m going to set an alarm clock, Joe and Howard Thompson are going to Greene to-morrow and wanted us to go along.”
