Aug 2, 1920 –
This morning we discovered a morning glory that had pushed its way thru a leaf that now prevented its opening. I released it and we saw it open. There is something sacred about a flower slowly opening –
The clouds today came directly out of the north, and I had the feeling that the land here was the top of a long high ridge, the end of it not far north from here.[i]
