This evening Bill came around and wanted me to go down to church. He said Grace Ruhl was there and I could take her while he took Bernice Morgan. Now I can’t bear the thought of taking anygirl home, much less did I consider taking Miss Ruhl home a pleasant diversion. And as I can’t abide church (to me they are nothing but hypocrisy) I again refused to go along. And so altogether this was for me a dull day.
