102. be entering into my childhood’s conception of heaven. There were shadowy figures to welcome me, and I realized that I was leaving behind me forever, all desire to sin. That was it – heaven was a freedom from all bad thoughts and desires, not a realm of pleasure.
After the concert, I went immediately to bed – I could not possibly look at anything after that – the only thing to do was to lie in the dark, and let the exalted experience of the last hour flow on and on.
