61.               Friday March 8, 1935 –

Working all day reading up in the Studio – Taking some things out to the shed. I stood in the doorway a few moments – the sun shown clear and warm in this doorway, tho it is a cold day – this intense warmth of the sun, in March is a marvelous thing – The sky is a pure clear blue; the snow brilliant – from somewhere a song–sparrow sings, and a wave of yearning sweeps over me. I never get used to this season, it is always agony.

     A calm sunshiny day, with just a slight chill in the air –
