Nov. 26, 1917 -
Cold day with fleets of dapply (sic) clouds. At noon – sun partially obscured – north sky full of big blue holes. The north sides of houses was cold blueish (sic) – the west very warm – yellow, the east also warm but more neutral –
((The cold blue light is chastely beautiful but it falls on evil or hideous things, producing a wonderful contrast))
At the end of the grey afternoon the red sunlight came out + lit up the strange factories – Beautiful white train smoke –
