Burchfield Penney Art Center, Gift of Charles Rand Penney, 1991
Arts patron Charles Rand Penney stands among examples from some of his primary collections in his Olcott, New York home. Some of the featured fine and decorative arts include paintings by Charles E. Burchfield, Emil Ganso and Robert Goodnough; a Tiffany lamp, a Josef Albers print, Staffordshire Victorian portrait figures, as well as antique and modern furniture. Sally Cook painted herself in the backyard near an Alexander Calder sculpture. A sailboat cruises on the lake in the distance to recognize another of Penney’s interests.
