The white gulls flying around in it were beautiful. While I was standing there loath to go home yet, I saw a string of workman walking along the white icy shore – jet black against it. Some were pulling sleds, they seemed remote and from another world – in fact, I had the feeling I was transplanted to someNorthern Europecountry –
On the way home I noticed the elevators. They looked like tall grim black and sinister prisons of some sort.
