A. M. Start to Logan – difficulty with car – asking aid of bystanders etc. – telephone central-name of AAA garage etc. Mrs. Vorhees comes along- then Reynolds & others. As a last thought Reynolds gets in - & drives car around block without any trouble! – He was sure I had had brake on & no doubt I did.
To Logan late — too late for church. They had not gone however – Irma on a case – Fred with Louise & I assisting, get dinner – the mother in the case (came to get her 6 yr-old daughter) stays to dinner. (Her going over toys-). Afternoon spent in listening to ball games, rendered almost unendurable by thunderstorm static. (Jim gets so worked up over gamers).
Evening - Class party at [Rush and Frances] Elliott’s. A good time — Taking pictures – (Mrs. Vorhees dropping a big doll in my lap.)
