The sights of Spring – peanuts in a sunlit window – bright colored tin signs & the cold blue reflection in windows facing north; children shouting -
The canal territory – dry dusty frozen plots – two goats wandering around – the oily yellow canal with pieces of ice – piles of timber – The tall buildings of downtown in the distance pale blue phantoms
There were gulls flying over the canal –
