Freezing rain in the night, which remained mostly on the trees – the evergreens especially beautiful with their whitish glistening needles against the dark gray eastern sky – From the east not far away came to the song of the red bird. Two crows flapped by headed south – sinister dark shapes –
A.M. to Dubell’s to get meat – principally T-bone steaks, so we could have a couple for our noon meal – which I planned to get.
Bertha is a little better, but not enough to do much altho she hates the enforced activity –
Brought all the loose photos in the house to sort according to years. I also wanted to separate the duplicates – I had such a confusing time doing this that I began to wonder whether I was really becoming senile! Three of four times going over one decade (1950-60) was necessary.
In the evening about 10:00 – Bob Blair arrived with the picture I had lent to the Patteran Show – I asked him in - Bertha served drinks and we had a good long chat. Bertha stayed up until about an hour then went to bed. It was about a quarter to 1:00 when Bob left.
