A.M. [Arthur] & I walk along R.R. [Arthur] fascinated with box-cars. We climb one & walk along the tops – French Rd bridge. Coming home by Union Rd we amused ourselves by throwing a chain fragment along the road, vying with each other in following [its] course with our eyes.
About 11:00 [Bertha] & I, with [Arthur] & [Catherine] to Buffalo. Bertha to look at coats, the youngsters to get shoes.
