a.m. – food shopping – then to H’s Tea room for lunch – afterwards to umbrella shop on Franklin to order beach umbrella
p.m. – in studio studying the “Spider Web Tree”
Just before six John calls to find out how we are doing in the floods – He said N.Y.C. had also been declared a “disaster area” [*] He and Winnie are going to Maine next weekend for their vacation – We agreed late September for them to come up to go over the year’s work –
