Unusually hot sultry June days of clear blue skies. The heat of night worst just at first light. It seems I have never noticed how beautiful nature is at present. Oriole’s song heard every-where Monday morning. Roses abound. Cherries and strawberries are ripe - beginning of the Harvest Season. Robins heard at first light this morning - somehow it seems to make the air cooler...
While on way to work at noon, I come upon sparrow cautiously attacking huge spider. I unwittingly scare him up. I put my foot out at [the] spider. He rears up and is going to give battle. Out of respect for his courage, I leave him unharmed.
When come out of work natures aspect is changed. The air & sky are fresh looking as after a storm tho the heat is unabated.
