BUFFALO, N.Y. — September 24, 2025 — The Burchfield Penney Art Center announces the return of its premier live auction, (716)ART, on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, from 6:00–9:00 p.m. Chaired by Heather and Mark Notarius, (716)ART is the Center’s signature biennial art auction celebrating the region’s creative excellence and bringing together art collectors, artists, and supporters of Buffalo’s vibrant cultural community for an unforgettable evening.
Curated by Burchfield Penney staff in collaboration with the (716)ART Committee, this year’s auction will feature up to 20 museum-quality works by artists with deep ties to Western New York. The live auction will be conducted by Robin Starr, General Manager of Bonhams Skinner, ensuring an engaging—and competitive—experience for seasoned and first-time bidders alike.
As part of the Burchfield Penney’s commitment to artists, auction proceeds are shared equally between the Burchfield Penney Art Center and the participating artists, directly supporting both the institution’s mission and the creative professionals who power our region’s arts ecosystem.
(716)ART is presented by Amy and John Bair.
