Dec. 21 – 26 –
On the Sunday before Christmas, Hank and Mart came over, with the children – then went out and found us a beautiful tree (white spruce) set it up and trimmed it. (What would we do without them?) We played the old Christmas records, “Noel” by Camio, “Stille Nacht” by Schuman-Heinck & “Birthday of a King.”
Christmas day at Mart & Hank’s – a good ham dinner – a pleasure to watch the children. Played cards – (my back tortured me most of the time). Luck’s in later –
Bertha & I unable to shop for each other’s presents. We received a multitude of cards (over 165) which we put up on an archway & other places.
