December 15 – Saturday –
A little milder; up to 20° by noon and a little higher later on. A pale grayish sky, from which a little snow filtered down in a slightly diagonal direction.
All day in the studio on two small water-colors one of which was to be for Dr. Gurney – One, the December Milkweed idea, and the other a copy of the goldenrod and church of last August.
At tea-time I showed them to Bertha and Peggy, and asked them to choose – They both chose the milkweed – which agreed with my own feeling.
Evening music – Part of “Boris Godinov”
