December 8 – Saturday –
Sibelius’ Birthday –
A rather heavy snow; enough to look like “real winter” but not enough to be a traffic problem. All the children are delighted – the loathed the long sunny spell we had –
Most of the day in the studio editing and going over school journals – at times looking at the new Sundays picture –
We had a pleasant noon meal – it is nice to have Peggy with us – she is so vital and full of ideas.
A good letter from Evie – She said I made out the check (for the children’s Thanksgiving) to “Mary Alice Burchfield!”
