Another “miraculous” day – clear and sunny with only occasionally “high clouds” – up to 63°.
I had made up my mind to work on the “Sunburst” picture, and kept at it all day long – but every time I glanced out of the window, I felt a pang – on such a day I ought to be out-doors painting.
When I brought the picture in at 4:00 and set it up – it hardly seemed as if I had done anything to it – I am farther away from a finish than I thought.
Evening music – Cimarosa’s Concerto for Two flutes and orchestra, and same for oboe & Lully ballet Music.
