Nov. 26 – Friday –
p.m. – Rev. Neeb came up to discuss the roof problem for the new church. He said that he was determined to borrow the necessary extra money ($1500) and pay for it out of what he had intended to add to his weekly envelopes – I thought this was outrageous, and finally it was decided that I should assume half the amount, and pay for it in the same way. I gave him a down payment of $250.
Evening to Richter’s for Hank’s birthday – We took an LP recording of Tchaikovsky’s fourth symphony. He was immensely pleased.
